‘I use a range of printmaking processes in my work and am particularly interested in experimenting with method and expression to create a freedom and immediacy which contrasts with the sometimes laborious processes.

I am currently experimenting with preparing ideas instinctively, working without filtering ideas through excess thought and intellectualisation: I then translate these drawings through the slower and more deliberate process of print.

This is a chance to refine the ideas in the drawings and consider the audience, as it is important to me that the work communicates. However, I am careful to avoid over-labouring the work, in order to keep it as raw as possible to retain the immediacy of the original drawings.’
