Laura Bell is a graduate of the Fine Art Department at Leeds University. She is a qualified teacher and has worked with both children and adults.

During the past thirty years she has been a freelance tutor of adults in painting, drawing and art history (for Bristol University Lifelong Learning Department). Her very popular practical classes are based in Salisbury and district. At the heart of her teaching is encouragement for artists to find their own strengths.

Laura is also an exhibiting painter, mostly in watercolour. In addition to figurative work related to her teaching – landscape, still life and flower painting – she has a strong interest in abstract art, particularly that related to Cubism.

In the last six years she has exhibited at the Royal Watercolour Society annual Open show at Bankside, St Barbe Open at Lymington and the Bath Society of Arts Summer Show.
