General Data Protection Regulations

The new EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) comes into force on 25 May 2018 (including in the UK regardless

of its decision to leave the EU) and will impact every organisation which holds or processes personal data.

It will introduce new responsibilities, including the need to demonstrate compliance, more stringent enforcement and

substantially increased penalties than the current Data Protection Act (DPA) which it will supersede.

To this affect we are committed to actioning any compliance regulations in accordance with any published rules and regulations.

This will apply to any current and future data held on our internal database with regard to personal information details.

We will only use any information that we collect about you lawfully in accordance with the Data Protection Act.

We do not ‘Target Market’ the services of Plain Arts from any data held on our system.

Any information collected about you (membership details and contact info – and (if applicable) any information obtained after

completing any enquiry form) is exclusively held by us and will not be passed to any other party, sold or traded under any circumstances.

We regularly send newsletters to all members on our database via Mailchimp. As such, there are clearly displayed options available to ‘unsubscribe’ from any future newsletters if you so wish, as well as there being a facility to update or amend the information we have on you.

We do not store any credit or debit card details as any payments made to Plain Arts – membership fees etc, are processed through the secure Paypal payment system, and as such we do not have access to your payment details.

We do and will not, collect any sensitive date without your explicit consent and we will give you the opportunity to refuse any marketing emails from us in the future.

We place a high priority on protecting and managing our data responsibly and in accordance with accepted standards.

We will make all efforts to comply with applicable GDPR regulations when they take effect on the 25th May 2018.

In using this website you agree that we can store and use the information we do have about you as stated above.
