Plain Arts regularly hold creative events and exhibitions throughout the year.
These are held as either ‘Plain Arts Events’ organised and run by our own committee members and dedicated
steering groups, or are creative events held in association with others all within Salisbury & the surrounding area.

Plain Arts Winter Exhibition & Christmas Fayre at Salisbury Library December 2019
If you are interested in art and want to see examples of the very best you can find locally whilst at the same time
discovering a treasure trove of possible Christmas presents then make sure you get to the Plain Arts Winter Exhibition
in Gallery 4 at Salisbury Library. The exhibition is open to the public from Wednesday 4th December
running through to Saturday 4th January.
Plain Arts is one of the leading arts organizations for local artists in and around Salisbury and this exciting opportunity
to exhibit in Salisbury Library has attracted work ranging from painting and illustration through to photography.
Judith Rodgers the Plain Arts Chairperson commented.

If you are interested in finding some fantastic Christmas presents at great prices.
Plain Arts, in conjunction with Salisbury Library, are putting on the first ever Christmas Fayre.
You will find some amazing bargains and wonderful examples of art created by local artists.
You will see work of the very best art that you can find locally whilst solving many of your Christmas shopping problems.
Make sure you get to the Plain Arts Christmas Fayre at Salisbury Library.
The Fayre will be open to the public on 2 consecutive Saturdays starting on 14th December and then the 21st.
Art Trail '2020'
The next 'Plain Arts - Art Trail' will take place between - May 30th - June 14th 2020.

We are also hoping to repeat the outline from the last Art Trail to include a City Centre Exhibition or 'TrailBlazers'.
More details will be forthcoming in due course for this event when confirmed.
Rolling programme of exhibiting opportunities at the Salisbury Medical Centre throught the year
The next group of Plain Arts members set up their work on Monday 8th July.
The exhibition will run through until the end of October.
We have now been organising a rolling programme of exhibitions since the centre opened on the Wilton Road.
The Practice has conducted a number of surveys and they have found how valued and
appreciated this project is to both the staff and patients. It's free to exhibit and the wall spaces are excellent
for showing your work to a very large audience.
Exhibiting opportunities at Waterstones Bookshop throughout the year
Plain Arts is continuing working with Waterstones to provide artists who might want to take the opportunity
to exhibit in their store. It costs just £20 which you pay directly to the Manager at Waterstones.
The following dates are currently available:
6th October - 3rd November (Back Stairs) / January 12th - February 9th (Back Stairs)

Exhibiting opportunities at Boston Tea Party throughout the year
Exhibiting opportunity at Three Chequers Surgery
We were able to supply a Plain Arts member for the original request from the surgery.
A new opportunity has just arisen and they are looking for someone to exhib their work.
Its a very busy surgery in Endless Street and a great opportunity to get your work out there.
Venue options for holding Workshops
We have been working lately to try to identify potential venues for you to hold workshops,
its an ongoing project but I have listed below a number of venues that we have visited who have
expressed an interest in linking with Plain Arts members for them to provide the space
and facilities for you to hold workshops on their premises.
The Old House Guest House Wilton Road Salisbury
Very large building in their grounds suitable for workshops or exhibitions
Laverstock Care Home London Rd Salisbury
Keen for someone to hold paid art workshops for their patients
The Manor Barn, Winterbourne Stoke
Fantastic location, very large country house with great facilities and beautiful grounds.
Very keen to develop art workshops
Wilton Shopping Village
This is a really exciting opportunity that we are currently discussing with the centre.

especially during their off season.

Opportunity to Exhibit at Fisherton Mill
Our exhibition schedule is almost fully booked for 2020 but we have one slot still available.
The Main Gallery is available between 3rd October - 31st October 2020 and as a SPECIAL OFFER,
we're offering this spot with 10% offthe hire cost if we receive the deposit by the end of August this year.
