Painting and drawing have been with me all my life.
Spending time with my artist father in his studio or out on painting excursions was how I developed my total love for painting.
My paintings are bright and colourful. I play with the colours, exaggerating and changing them. The completed artworks are a colour impression of my view of the subject.
I am inspired by the landscape that surrounds me: the textures and colours of the ever-changing fields and the wonderful big skies. The contrasts of light and shade in a still life or a landscape are captivating. The sun directs its light onto people doing everyday things, whether they’re just gazing, or sharing a split-second interaction.
Creating work is like being on a long and exciting journey, discovering new techniques, or being inspired by another artist.
