Henry Gray - Stone CarvingHenry Gray is a letter cutter and artist with firm roots in traditional craft. He comes from a creative family and has been influenced by them; illustrator Corinna Sargood, as well as food writer Patience Gray and Flemish sculptor Norman Mommens. He trained at Weymouth College, studying letter cutting, architectural carving, and masonry, and has been carving for more than 30 years. His experience includes designing and making a memorial for the Desert Rats Association, working on the restoration of the West Front of Salisbury Cathedral, Christchurch Priory, and various other listed buildings. For the past 20 years, he has run his own studio, creating bespoke commissions and sharing his skills and enthusiasm with others. Henry works closely with clients to produce unique pieces, and believes his interest in meditation is reflected in the quality and character of his work.
