Lesley Heslop - Painting and Mixed Media
Lesley works from her studio in the garden of her cottage in Upper Clatford near Andover.
Lesley’s style is contemporary. Working mainly in acrylic on board, she enjoys painting still life and landscapes and often includes collage or mixed media in her work.
Her paintings are to be viewed closely to see the little details she likes to include, such as pen work. Her colours are often muted and applied with brushes, rollers or scrapers and she enjoys finding ways of making marks and creating different textures.
Her work has been described as ’calming’.
Lesley’s main exhibitions include the Wallop Artists, Goodworth Clatford, Hilliers at Romsey, Hampshire Open Studios, the Ilminster Arts Centre and more recently Fisherton Mill Gallery in Salisbury
