Helen Southwell - Chair Helen joined the committee midway through 2022 to support with preparations for the 'Art Trail' and somehow managed to land the role of Chair six months later. Helen is keen to support the long-established activities that have been a part of Plain Arts for a number of years, resurrecting some old favourites that have fallen by the wayside and looking for new and exciting opportunities to showcase the work of our talented group of artists. Helen is a working glass artist. She studied Ceramics and Textiles at university, and since retiring from a high-profile job in education in 2021 is looking forward to having more time to dedicate to her art. She is now combining her experience as a teacher with her creative passion and offering 1 to 1 tuition, workshops, school and community projects. Her work can be seen on her website: www.theglassroom.uk |
